idea for new map.

some one was having trobles with an unreal map, making a cavel. so i said to make a modle in maya.well i was board so i made one ang got it into unreal and it looks rilly cool. just think what it would look like with normal maps in hl2!!!

caves... you guys don't have enough vision.

cant you see the terrorists trying to blow up some random clay pot (aztec :p)? runing around under ground and into big underground lakes, etc...

actuly is making maps for unreal hard?
 
I could hardly understand what you were saying... but anyways, your idea is not very groundbreaking.
With normal mapping, I'd imagine it would look like hell. You would need to model it very specific and create normal maps off that to make it look decent.
Not to mention subdivision surfaces are going to eliminate the need for cave "models"
