Idea to hurry up with the beta test of CS: Source?

I expect CS: Source Final (1.0) to be released with Half-Life 2. It would be stupid to release a beta, right?

Well, if they are going to release the game in August/September, shouldnt they hurry up?

Who said CS:S isn't final by now??? I mean the shows they probably had for CS:S was the beta....We have no clue what the status is, but I bet its beyond beta right now.

I'm sure CS:S doesn't need a whole lot of beta testing, seeing as it's mostly just a straight port onto the new engine.

I'm pretty sure the beta they're gonna release (to us lucky cz owners :smoking: ) is being released in order to test the net code on a large scale NOT to spoil HL2 ho.kay.

EDIT not that I'm saying thats what you're saying- but others on these forums having been taking the beta release like it's valves special way of spoiling HL2 for them :dozey:

yeah.. they wanna test the Source engine on a larger scale.. so running a beta test would fit those needs.

tomorrow would be awesome! , but unfortunately it probably won't happen and besides two weeks was what they said right? that should be something like saterday.. but then again cyber cafes go first, so we cz owners have to wait anyhow :/
