If another company made a program like steam and did what valve is doing with HL2 (forcing your customers to do extremely long verification processes multiple times for a game they bought with their own hard earned money, ect....) I wouldn't give it the light of day. The only reason that steam should have to be put up with is for HL2 (I wouldn't put up with something like this for any other game).
