If another company made a program like steam and did what valve is doing with HL2 (forcing your customers to do extremely long verification processes multiple times for a game they bought with their own hard earned money, ect....) I wouldn't give it the light of day. The only reason that steam should have to be put up with is for HL2 (I wouldn't put up with something like this for any other game).


It's like waiting for your delicious slow cooked steak and mashed potatoes at your favorite restaurant but the waitress is an ugly, annoying, incompetent moron.

The verification was not that bad for me.

But if loads of other companys made "steams" it would become bad, because there would be loads of steams on your PC.

And they would also have to go through the learning process that valve did, to be frank if another company makes a steam i probably wont give it the time of day unless it's through valves steam.
