*<RJMC> go to look for a singing frog*

I watched that cartoon recently; my wife bought me a collection of classic Merrie Melodies cartoons a few years back and my son is starting to get into it ...he doesnt understand the plotline of the cartoon but laughs at the thought of a singing frog

"look daddy the frog is singing!"

haha, we were studying chuck jones' cartoons in class today. Coincidence? I think so.

:)

I don't think there's a single person in existence who hasn't seen that cartoon. Still funny after all these years.

Not seen it before.

I used to watch all the cartoons that were like that. Maybe it's more of an American thing.

i find it scary how those bugs bunny cartoons are like over 50 years old, yet they have better drawing and animation then most of the american cartoons these days...it's like we've gone backwards.

HELLO MY HONEY!
HELLO MY BABY
HELLO MY RAGTIME GGAALLL!

God I love that cartoon.

it doesnt mean they cant animate as well as they did back then ..disney movies are proof of that ..it's all about budget. intricate animation costs money, that's why you'll only ever see intricate animation in theatrical releases ..Merrie Melodies were originally shown before the start of a movie at the theatre

Thats because the Disney and Chuck Jones animators all died off, and nobody since has been able to match their genius.

also this where not like weekly shows isnt?

May I be the first to say...

Very old.
:D

Used to watch these religiously when I was younger, still got a laugh out of them... the grass is probably helping though.

I don't think it's that. If you watched Drew Carey's Green Screen Show, some of the animations were brilliant and smoothly animated. Especially in one of the first few episodes where they have to ride a horse.

The talent is there, it's just budget-wise, shitly animated stuff like the Powerpuff Girls that take 2 minutes to draw in Illustrator/Flash are a cheaper choice.

Best Warner Bros. cartoon is any of the ones where the cartoon character talks back to the cartoonist and the artist draws wierd shit to mess with him
