It's finally here, The new Video Preview from IGN for an exclusive look at the three major components of Orange Box. Includes never-before-seen footage of Episode Two, Team Fortress 2, and Portal.[br]

What are you waiting for ?

Somebody please youtube this for me? IGN is not cooperating.

some ign insider pls dload the hd version and post it on a file sending website PLEASE!!!!!

Grr, do you know how hard it is to log into IGN with a console browser? Soon as I work it out, the file will be on my webserver.

Well, they're still updating Source :)

Interesting video, looking forward to all 3 games :)

That looks awesome! Especially Episode 2, very impressive visuals with that snow covered mountain in the background. The source engine is still lovely :)

Alex looks odd firing over the bench, dont know how useful this will be in the game.

Anyway all the rest looks great.

Please release PC soon, forget about xbox/ps3 versions :D

Ill be playing tf2, portal then ep2 in that order i think. all in one day, naturally.

Tf2 actually looks good and fun.
Portal is loveably weird.
Ep2 is...mmmmmm

Good stuff there. I'll be playing it in the order:
Ep2
Portal
TF2

Also like the idea of

rebels within aperture

END SPOILERS

New things in videos:

Ep. 2
-some new small townish enviroments I hadn't seen yet
-Hunter weapon, blue dart thingys (I think I'll call em plasma darts), in action, didn't really expect them to swerve like hive hands but I like
-Alyx blindfiring

TF2
-Pyro playing air guitar with fire axe
-in game video (featuring HUD)
-Demoman cartoonish grenade explosions

Portal
-not much, unfortunately, just same old stuff reiterated

Still same old soldiers... not that I'm disappointed or anything though. ;)

I'm getting worried at the talk of how it is being aimed at high end PCs depite the fact that it was said the requirements were to be the same. My comp is a heap of **** and so I hope I can still run Ep2 if the requirements don't change.

Good footage and interviews. I was a little concerned watching some of the TF2 footage though. I'm not sure why I hadn't picked up on this sooner, but the spread of the bullets from the heavy's minigun looked incredibly random. Granted, the weapon isn't meant for accuracy, but even at close range it seemed to have a ridiculous spread compared to how it was in TFC.

OK... mixed reactions here. TF2 and Portal are looking great and everything (love that 'axe guitar' touch with the pyro), but EP2... well, I'm not so sure - looking at the brand new pieces seen in that video. Eurogamer's summary of their EP2 playtest sounds fantastic, but that's on paper. I mean don't get me wrong, when we finally get to play EP2 it'll be a blast - it's just that the new footage in that video seemed kind of dodgy: model shadows are the same as HL2 (look at Alyx in the new footage), which really seems kind of outdated, especially as Valve have stated that the are upgrading the Source engine to use 'shadow mapping technology.' The Hunter AI looked strange in one part - see the far left of the screen using the timeframe OO:59 seconds in the video. The combine AI does look somewhat improved - they seem to be flanking more initiatively. Alyx's new cover AI looks great... hope this turns out to be an effective new feature which actually helps the player; not some 'cool' move. The background scenario looks very impressive... with the mountains, portal storm and such. Can't really analyse anything else at the moment. Bear in mind that all of the above is detailed criticism; after all, Valve has still got a few months to add their extra special polish... which I'm sure they will.

I think Episode 2 looks awesome. Bearing in mind the majority of the footage was old (last year), and the new set pieces really marked how far it has come. My only gripe was what Alyx expected to achieve in firing her whee pistol at the Hunters. As far as I can tell, you need physics objects to knock them down.

Heres how I'll play:

Ep. 2, all the way through
Portal, a couple of levels
TF2
Portal, finish
Ep. 2 with commentary
TF2
Portal, in challenge mode and with commentary (if they have it)

Rinse, repeat

Hurrah. Watched it yesterday.

TF2 looks ABSOLUTELY fantastic. Everything about it is pure awesome, and I'll bet it'll prove for serious competition to CS and Halo.

yay, thx alot for the hd version. just gotta wait 11 hrs. just hope those ppl don't find out it's illegal and delete the file on the server while im dloading..

Portal storm? Where?

TF2 != TFC.

You're right, but ... I'm of the belief that the more random / inaccurate a weapon is made, the less skillful one can be at it. At 4:58 in the video, you can see the heavy aiming at ground level at the enemies, but some bullets end up going in completely bizarre angles. The spread looks ... a bit weird as well.

Portal storm? Where?

Timeframe 04:14 in the video. It does look really striking. Plus the Hunter looks really menacing and intelligent at that point in the video; with him bull charging you and all.

Ah, I see. Awesome. Somebody with HD screencap that.

Here you go.
Something else to notice on this shot is the symbols for Primary and Alternate fire and how even though there is no ammo for Alt fire it keeps the zero there.
