Not that it comes as much of a surprise to anyone, but Half-Life 2 has won PC Game of the Year at IGN, beating out the runner up Rome: Total War. Much more interesting will be the overall game competition, coming in January.

Half-Life 2 snagged the title of best graphics and best fps as well, and emerged as the runner up in several other hard fought categories.

And it also won best graphics and FPS. :bounce:

far cry didnt win one award. Neither did Doom 3.
The problem is, they were competing against Half-Life 2 in all relevant categories, which made them pretty much screwed. It's an evil world out there.

Good good, but its just PC game of the year...
Has HL2 won any GOTY awards yet? :(

Tribes venegence had a pretty good story. But all the switching between characters kind of sucked :(
