What I'm really trying to say is, I'd like to meet the lot of you UK guys in real life. Nothing's planned out yet. Me and a friend of mine are going to try and do a 2-week trip throughout England, but we'll be probably be strapped on cash. Thus I come here, to halflife2.net. If any of you would like to house us (we're decent folks, not junkies or the like) for a night or so, it would be greatly appreciated.
If not, we'll have to take a youth hostel / something else, which will further inhibit our possibility of visiting all of you guys! D:

I guess this thread has two meanings:
1) Give us some tips what cities are awesome / hl2.net-member infested (which, technically, is exactly the same) and must-see views.
2) If you want to meet up with us somewhere (it'll prolly be in London, Birmingham and Manchester), please post here. Me and my friend will (most likely) go to each of those cities and ravage the night.

So if any of you guys are interested, please post the following:
- Interested in housing / feeding / buttsechs (not required, of course)
- Where you live, and how close it is to one of those three cities
- Possibility / Wish to join in and have a good time (Yes/No)
- Possible time schedules for you (so we can plan out the trip accordingly)
- Any other comments you'd like to add

Remember, this trip is in its earliest stages; It's still possible that we change routes / do cities in different order!

Its not the cities, it's the countryside and the quaint little villages in the hills that you should check out also. Try and get away from the tourist areas (like central london, that don't paint a very accurate picture of england or english people) ... Go find a little village, have a pint, go to a local chippy, have fish and chips ... etc.

If possible, if you're hiring a car out, go for a drive round the yorkshire dales / peak district ... some awesome driving roads and some unbelievable scenery.

Oh, and Marmite is disgusitng.

and I would offer if I had the extra space. If your going partying in town on the nights I would suggest Oceana at Arcadia or any of the clubs or pubs on Broadstreet, Waxy Oconners being the most friendly feeling place.

If you are more into rock music try Scruffy Murphys and Subculture.
