if im buying a dsl router thats not wireless does that mean i have to buy an ethernet cable long enough to reach from my source to my new computer? If so where the hell do i find an ethernet cable that long? Im talkin like a couple hundred feet.

p.s. sorry im posting so many threads lately, but i want everything on mmy new comp to work, and best buy is way to far for me to drive right now

You can buy rolls of CAT5 cable. As for the plugin things i think you could get em at Radio Shack.

Couple hundred feet??!! You live in a mansion?
Anyhow, im sure most electrical communications companies will do custom lengths for you- just remember to specify whether you want straight or crossover cable.

No idea why you need such long cables, but you should probably know that Cat 5 is only rated to 100 meters, and Cat 5e to 350...

thats what repeaters are for, if your will to spend the cash, but the broadband over power is a better way to go if it can work
