Im loosing faith in GTA:San Andreas

I was thinking about getting this on PC when it comes out, but now im getting very meh....

The thing that annoyed me about vice city was the constant trawling back to mission evry time you die/get busted/give up, most of my time just seemed drving myself around, i never felt the game "flowed" very well, it never went smothly from one part of the story to anouther which made it very annoying to play and eventually I gave up. I did like the game and had some great moments on it, but i need something big to persuade me to buy the next one.

I don't think you can rent PC Games? Or can you? Anyway, driving back to missions in SA isn't really that much of a hassle. And in some missions, they even put in a instant travel option (mostly in missions where you have to drive cross state to get to it if you fail). And it's fun driving around

Yeah, and even in Vice City if you died you just took the cab and it returned you to the mission instantly.

That's still the problem, but you just HAVE to forgive the game. I mean, the countryside looks buetiful, the game seems realistic. No longer are you confined to a "floating city", surrounded by water... Now there is country, mountains, feilds, rivers... and then the city.

i don't get why they released this for PS2 before they realesed it to PC...... i think the smart thing, financially, would have gotten it out to us big loser nerds before the PS2 play-once-in-awhile-not-10-hours-straight-people

Wtf? I played my Final Fantasy X for 12 hours straight the first day/night I got it. And Sony has most of its 3rd party companies on hooks so they can't release it to the PC 'cause Sony wants the most money possible. Like any company.

They released all the GTA games on PS2 first cuz Rockstar North had a deal with Sony to do so. I think the deal is over now after SA. But i sure hope they get a new deal for PS3 so the evil Xboxers wont get it first :smoking:

Technically, you're confined to a "floating state", surrounded by water... :E

But... its a very good game.

One good thing is when you fail a mission that involves a long drive to it (or even short) and then go back to do it again, without loading, you can just hit the right arrow key (or maybe left..not sure) to travel there automaticly.

Actually, I think the smart thing, financially, is to first sell it on the most popular video games console in the world, before releasing it to the least popular market for video games.

They released it on ps2, as it was a smart move to make, they would get alot of xmas sales, if they started on a different console or whatever, less sales.

Xbox - Halo 2
PC - Half life 2
Gamecube - ???
Ps2 - GTA:SA

Which is extremly evident when you get to fly to libery city...

Anyway, San Andreas was semi good. I stoped playing it one the mansion take over (back) mission due to me not being able to finish the car chase (the car you get was put togehter by blind drunken monkeys on crack).

Yeah! Especially since I don't even remember ever pulling the trigger :E He drove off, I get forced into a car, and a few moments later after catching up, at least one tire is broken & he's desperately trying to control his vehicle. Either he ran over something sharp or I was godly enough to get the tire while doing a drive-by!
