So when I was setting up my new laptop I rejected sending info about my PC, hardware, browsing habbits etc. to Microsoft about 7 times while installing things and registering windows. I also rejected sending info to AVG. Then when I installed Steam I gladdly participated in the hardware survey and then when I tried to play a Steam game I was informed that Steam didn't recognise my graphics chip, so I happily sent Valve further information on it.

I've also never once sent an error report after a programme crashed in Windows.

Discuss.

Housing habits?

I'm the same rimfire. Error reports are totally useless most likely. I don't need Microsoft knowing explorer crashed when I was watching porn.

So is ur face.

I don't know why you wouldn't since that info to MS is actually used in deciding what things to fix in service packs, Win7, etc...

For any company that I consistenly use their products, I always send them extra info about my usage so they can make the product better.

Just me though.

I rarely send error reports to MS, especially when Firefox crashes.

WAT FIREFOX CRAHSD WHY DNT U USE OUR BRWSER INTERNET EXPLOROR

almost makes more sense to send success reports....

"hey microsoft, IT WORKED!!!!"
