I got the flu and probably a bacterial infection too. My ears hurt so bad and every muscle on my body aches (even the ones on my face). Last night I didn't know what the heck I was doing, I put my contact case under my bed and woke up and didn't know where I put it.

I don't have insurance to get any meds, so what would be the best thing for me to do? I've got lots of juice and downing the vitamin C, but is there anything i can do? My friend says warm olive oil in your ear will cause some of the aching to dissipate, but is there any other "home remedy" i can give a whirl?

Warm olive oil helps soften ear wax and loosen it - in your case, the pain is caused by swelling of glands etc and unfortunately olive oil wont do much to help that.

Don't overdose on vitamins - having too much of them can have seriously bad effects. Just drink plenty of water and stay in bed ... your bodys already working on it.

Unless I am wrong instead, and the scientific basis for the cause of flu has changed and is actually due to lack of playing football as opposed to invasion of pathogenic viruses.

Did you mean a bacterial infection in your ear? If the pain persists you really should see a doctor. That can be very serious. One of my friends ear drums burst when he was little because he had an ear infection and never told anyone. He cant hear worth shit.

if your ear is indeed infected you need to see a doctor, it'll only get worse before it gets better; you need anti-biotics
