What I don't understand is how one's typing would get impaired. I've typed drunk before, but only with a few minor mistakes.

I agree with this placebo thing. I have sometimes felt tipsy simply from the presence of certain friends, and indeed, when I was out the other night with friends I hadn't seen for ages, I felt utterly giddy before fifteen minutes had passed, and kept spilling small amounts of my beer.

I'm a lightweight, but it isn't chemically possible to be that much of one!
