I'm thinking of upgrading my graphics card from geforce 3 to geforce 6800 (GT?) AGP (2400+ Athlon XP, 512 migsandmegs)
:rolling:
But I can't decide which manufacturer since there are not many readily available. My current favorite is the Asus V99999 Gamer edition. A 6800 non GT with me hoping to unlock the vertex and pixel shaders (it's not available right now, please preorderblablabla)
I'm willing to blow around €350 on this..

The manufacturer choice isn't really that important. Asus tend to be more expensive than other manufacturers, even though they really don't perform that much better than the others. Just go for what you think is smartest. I chose the cheapest manufacturer when I got my new GPU a few months back, and I don't regret it.

Well, the Asus 6800 gamers edition is not the standard card. I think he knows this. It performs very close to a 6800GT actually, compared to regular 6800's.

I have always perfered Asus and Gainward as Nvidia manufactures, well Xtasy too before when they were Nvidia.

I think I might actually go for the asus GE card. I just have to preorder it and hope that they can deliver it at all...

in PC Gamer they said that the V9999 claimed to have 16 pipes when it only had 12 in fact, and was not a really good choice compared to other options
