Image Spam

Okay this new image spam crap is really starting to piss me off. For the better part of a year I've been receiving it in my verizon inbox, and it easily bypasses Firefox filters. I've even added filters that people say to use in firefox to bypass it, but it still comes through. The only way it gets rid of it is if I manually run the filters even though it's supposed to run when I check for mail.

I also have the problem in yahoo mail... though not really image spam. The damn emails keep coming through about loans and mortgages and crap and yahoo isn't filtering them as well as it used to in the past.

Any tips? Is there a way I can run my yahoo through a pop server? I heard they don't allow that anymore.

I have a gmail account, but it's been getting spam too and I haven't even USED the damn thing before much.

Besides, my verizon email is great, and I haven't had much problems with it in the past. The only spam getting through is image spam, I just need to figure out how to defeat it once and for all.
