Improvements upon CS:S

I like the new graphics, weapons, and physic engine applied to CS:S but aren't they going to add a bit more? Maybe a prone or lean function? It would add alot more and would reduce getting sniped on Dust1 trying to find that sniper in the underpass...

Maybe a prone or lean function
I'm not being to be mean or anything, but this has been brought up many times. Counter Strike is meant to be a fast game so a prone function definately doesn't work. Something like this would kill competitive play. Who wants to sit and watch a guy laying on the ground in a video game for two minutes? Perhaps though, a lean function MIGHT work. The only problem with this is that it would be virtually useless because in source your better off running around than sitting in one spot when you're trying to kill someone. Leaning only works in a game like Rainbow Six or in a game where it's harder to instantly spot people like in COD. IMO ONLY THO! I think VAC2 and some new QUALITY maps (maps that look good and are also good for competition) would be nice

Yeah I guess you are right, but lean would still be good for a tactical game like this.

I agree though... Unreal Tourny and Halo do the Scoot and Shoot well enough. CS wouldn't be what it was without it's bent towards realism...

It takes a full second tops to lie down in FC... I think it's lacking in CS.

prone and leaning work in DOD but i'm not sure they would work in CS.

it's too much of a fast game for it to be used that much, and anyway, we need VAC2 first to help stop teh hax0rs!

This is CS:S, not CS2. This is only a straight port from CS. They will make CS (that's what they've said) in the future. That might contain new gameplay features and weapons.

this is css stop trying to change it you bloody moon

if you want prone and lean play your other crap fps

...and if you want to type a decent response go back to English class.

Relax fanboy... Your feelings shouldn't be this bruised over a discussion of things that could be added to CS at somepoint.

If you want CS to stay the same the first version will always be around for you.

needs lean, I always wanna peak out from behind corners really quick.
