In a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest, how much power does Bush have left after the democrats won the house and the senate?

I was having a conversation with my parents the other day about elections. I said that I firmly believe that if there was a mid-term presidential election, Bush would be re-elected. After all the bs and everything I feel he would still be president. Why? The polls are always 53% Demorcatic 47%Republican. It's almost 50/50. *I also voted 8.

Hes the president of the most powerful nation. I think he has a great deal of power. Voted 8, since i think a 9 or 10 on the power level would mean that people dont riot even when he something really really bad.

As the president he still has power, but I think the people behind him has lost almost all the influence they have had on US politics, and that is what matters.

.bog.

7. Although I declare myself Independent, I still think he should get a lil respect. I mean, he got voted TO be president. So if we all hate him, maybe its our fault that we shouldnt have voted for him.
But hey, Who knows what it would have been like with Kerry? Kerry.. was the guy who rivaled Bush.. right?! RIGHT?!
Terror+Kerry= telletubies.

He could probably get a free PS3.

There are generally more conservatives in this country than there are liberals. It's probably around 60% conservative-40% liberal. However, some conservatives are capable of swinging depending on the situation, which is why we generally see it more even around 50-50.

I mean... Indiana which is a state that nearly votes all republican apparently... voted democrat this time around.

4. Basing 10 as how much power he had before the midterms. He is becoming very unpopular and for his own sake wouldn't pull anything like the wire-tapping again just because of his credibility and because the democrats now have a LOT more power.

You'd be surprised how many people are out there that still love bush, but just don't really go online and voice it, or just say it in public at all.
