I need a little help..........when ever i pass through the doors at the beggining of chapter 2.......(Direct Intervention) when your going through the long hallway my screen go black............like gordens eyes are closed or something...............it happens when i pass throught the hallway at the beggining of chapter 2 so if any one can help i would really appreatiate it....................and sorry for the miss spelled words

The game obviously hasn't loaded up the 2nd chapter beyond that point. It usually does this automatically. Go to your 'my games' list, right click HL2 and go to properties. Then click 'validate integrity of game cache' button and let steam fix your game. It should work fine at this point.

If you have the game illegally, e.g. downloaded it, you will not have steam at all, i must ask if have an illegal version? If so the above method will not work.

No its legal i bought it at wal-mart.........ummmmm ill try but you know how you start off in the rubble and "dog" finds you.................. its like that
