In-Game Movie Stuttering

Hey guys and gals!

I have been having a problem for some time now with the opening movies for games, or even the in game movies. They all stutter like crazy! The playback skips and the sounds mess's up every now and then. I have tried pretty much every game i can think of that i own that has intro movies.. and with everyone it does it. My system is more than capable of running games, all my video drivers and sound software is updated. Has anyone out their had a similar case? any solutions on fixing it? Any help would be much abliged.

sound blaster audigy card
100gig hardrive
52x cd rom/writer
15x dvd rom/writer

what games......are they reading the movie's off the game disc. Perhaps you have a slow/bad optical drive....

hmm it does it with sid meiers railroads, badday la, war hammer 40k, battlefield games, anythign with a intro movie. But rather than read them off the cd... it seems to be reading them off the harddrive. hmmm:|
