In world where there was no longer a reigning king of movie trailer voiceover.

I always wondered what the name/face was behind that voice. Wish it would've been under better circumstances that I finally found out.

It is sad, BUT...

It's not like they can't just go back, cut up, and rearrange all of his voicovers to apply to anything ever.

I though all those voices where sintetic

interesting stuff and sad too

GOD DAMNIT 2008, stop killing everyone i love:bonce:

I wonder how much stuff they had lined up for him before he croaked.

It's really hard for me to imagine just how the hell he managed to do more than 5,000 samey voiceovers. I mean seriously, did no one step up to say ''hey, this is getting pretty old now, y'know?'' after the first 10 or so?

I cannot stand those trailers. It just screams bad action film. Well, not always as theres a few good films he's narrated over but still, it never fails to make me cringe.

Oh man, oh man, oh man. ;( When you saw something for the first time on the tv or a movie theatre for a film, you heard his voice probably. Movies, tv ads, basically anything will never be the same anymore. I'm scared it will turn into some cheap sounding guy or something. People have to force their voice to sound like him, but his natural voice sounds like that. I'm both scared and frightened at the same time. :( Thanks Raz btw for that video. Worst part is he started coming out very recently with The Simpsons Movie and Geico. :(

To me, the only thing worse would be if Morgan Freeman or a member of my own family died

We do not mention Morgan Freeman and.

Death in the same sentence.

Not after what happened to Isaac Hayes and Bernie Mac.

Damn, the only other time I saw him was that Geico commercial.

same here^

There's got to be some people that can imitate his voice, but it will not be the same.

He should have had another 30 years

This is truly awful, and it seems very a very sad and a very empty world where approximately five thousand of those voice-overs will no longer have a real, funny, charming human being behind them, and will once again fade into the dull anonymity with which we usually regard them.

This.

In a world... where one man means the difference between success and failure.

One man... in a race against time... and time is not on his side.

This summer... Don LaFontaine is...
