In your opinion what does Sin Episode 2 need/doesn't need?

Need:

- More sophisticated AI for enemies
- Give Blade his voice back completely
- A bit more length (2 hours should work)
- Online Multiplayer for Sin Episodes (somewhat like HL2DM)
- Include Wages of Sin as a bonus
- High Dynamic Range? I'm no graphics whore, but it couldn't hurt too much.
- 1 or 2 extra weapons may be beneficial
- Better textures (this is definitely needed)
- Blade taunting his foes every once in a while when he kills them...he's not a mute, and there can only be one Gordon Freeman (ties in with the second need)
- More humor from JC and Jessica (especially when JC makes fun of Blade)

Doesn't need:

- Jessica Cannon ordering Blade around...she's a rookie, Blade's a commander so why is he taking orders from her? He should be giving her orders.

- Frustrating bugs/issues that turns away players

That's all I can think of at the moment, please feel free to discuss.
 
I agree mostly, but I doin't like taunting. Blade-JC dialogue is needed, though. IIRC, MP will be coming before Episode 2.
 
Well, the whole taunting deal can be an option,you know...something you can turn on/off. MP coming before Episode 2 will be cool.

the game needs MORE WEAPONS!... some creative weapons would be nice too... the 3 standard, every day FPS guns just didnt cut it for me ( pistol, shotgun, smg/assult rifle ) ... I like to have a large variety in guns, that of wich arnt all the same, thats why im looking forward to Resistance"fall of man" ( or something like that ) by Insomniac.. the same people who make RatchetandClank, I love the huge variety of different and creative weapons that RatchetandClank provided that Sin horribly lacks. It also needs new box art, wich im sure they'll change, but something that doesnt give unknowing shelf browsers the impresion that the'll be playing as a hot ass red head chick, its very mis-leading.
 
A far more interesting storyline - one thst doesn't apply every cliche in the book.

Dated gameplay and level design.
 
Needs better flow, not easy for 3 hours then near impossible because we want to throw 100 chaingunners at you. And yes they say they fixed the difficulty bug, but who knows.

Needs less of areas where you are required to do a puzzle while fighting an endless spawn of grunts. And no more endless spawning of grunts at all.

Needs more Elexis and interaction between her.

Needs to be less generic.
 
Well they should lose that stupid mutagen gas BS, that was a poor man's effort at introducing Max Payne/FEAR bullet time.

Better costumes and clothes for the characters. Jessica was about the worse dressed sidekick I've ever played with. I half expected her to have a slag stamp showing tbh.
 
WTF?! I LOVED HER OUTFIT! If you could bone CGI people I WOULD! but ya... that damn gas sucked... woulda though it would have been something they would take out in testing... all it did really seemed like was my pc was lagging and it just make it harder to see.
 
Yeah, the gas was quite useless (unless you miraculously managed to hit the mercs with it). I didn't have any problems with Jessica's costume...just that some is okay with it and others aren't.
 
i absolutely loved just about every thing in sin. I didnt even notice it didnt have HDR because i was too busy having fun blasting heads off of thugs. what would be nice would be a mini mod or an add on that can get you the Grav-gun. but it seriously needed more weapons ( and a flash light would be nice too ). I was a little disappointed when i found out that you can blow heads off... but the rest of the body was non-disassembling... I wanna be able to take some ones arm and throw it at some one... and What I'd like to see in both Sin and Half life 2 ( in E2 and in updates ) is when you pic something up... it just doesn't float there.. they went to the trouble of giving them hands to hold guns, but not other objects? wtf?! oh well enough is enough... good game... needs more hot chicks ( some kind of a bikini or naked cheat would be awesome! )

less mutative gas ( none or fix )
and last but not least: more chicks

i think that sums it up... or no add to it...

its DOESNT need another terrible boss battle....that was boring as hell
 
I think it needed a lot more of the car driving sequence. Based on the interviews, I was expecting an epic chase with branching paths and all sorts of action. I was disappointed with the actual implementation - first with dozing in and out of consciousness, and second with a fairly short drive to the tower. I guess they ran out of time.

But, when they release the SDK, making a long car chase map pack is definitely going to be on my agenda.

In all honesty it needs some Vistas. Those of you who've read Raising the Bar will know what I'm talking about.
 
Just my thoughts

-Better variety of creative more useful weapons ( maybe futuristic variations of modern police / military weapons like tazers, CS pellets / gas , Pepper, Flash grenades, Trip mines)

-The AI must improve.

-The tempo of the game when there is no combat has to get a lot better. Game music plays a huge roll in this area. I would go as far as to say hire a new music director. The music should create a sense of urgency that is desperately missing in this game.

-Online Multiplayer modes similar to HL2DM but go a bit further. Include ALL the weapons form the original games (retooled and retextured) and maybe some new ones. Make some of the original games characters skins retextured and available for use. Offer a variety of Modes. How about a cops and robbers mode (something like UT2004 Assault mode) where one team defends a building while the other team tries to infiltrate and accomplish a specific task. It would be cool if all the maps in this mode could be of famous buildings.
 
I actually really liked the gameplay. I thought it was pleasantly challenging, and had a great flow to it. Plus, the pistol just may be the best thing ever.
