We are back, again!
Rather quickly too, but that's always good when you guys get some new media to enjoy. And in this update, when I say 'some', I mean twenty-six new pieces of media.

Now, I realize that lately we have been showing off pretty much just one level (vt_strike) which is the forest level showcased in the past few media updates. The reason being is that vt_strike was the furthest along in terms of playability with our re-programmed game mode, which means thats the map I would test on since it incorporated the most features of the new version of the game mode.

Now, its not that I want to hide the other goodies from you, its just hard to show when I can't show them in the way I want. There is so much you guys haven't seen, and that you will have to wait until you get the full glory, but consider this new media update an appetizer. I was also pretty nice, as I made these teaser images pretty easy to recognize what they actually are or atleast something worth looking at.

Some things I can let you know that you are going to see include two new maps:
vt_vast: this is a complete re-make of the old vast. It uses a completly new design and layout. The only similarity is the map name. More details will be announced on this map soon. The re-make is being created by our lovely Jeo.
vt_brisk: Did anyone else feel that breeze? Jenn0's new map.
vehicles: ranging from the human vehicles, including the dropship, vertical tank, gladiator, atv... and alien vehicles like the dropship.
and plenty more!

Looks like you guys are working really hard on this mod, respect.
Everything looks cool, the level design in some places reminds me a bit of Far Cry. And whats that dino doing there? Will it be playable?

4. UV-Unwrappers

It's been a while since i've seen this as a recruitment, don't your modelers know how to uv-map? If now, get rid of them :)

Good point, but they released a video where they were shooting if i recall correctly, so they can shoot i think :p
But some action shots would be cool indeed.

Are you guys playtesting on a regular base already?
 
I want to like it, but I still have this uneasy feeling that it's going to be Halo-esque and generic. Tell me otherwise.

also it's true... all modellers should do their own unwraping, and preferably also do their own texturing...


no one will want to work as a uv-uinwrapper
