And we are back again.
Well, life is crazy, to say the least.
I was originally planning on writing a news update on August 25th, as that was the date when Incoming turned six years old. Well, life got crazy, in many ways, one being me being hit by a car (while on foot). So I just rested that day off, and then work got crazy (real life work that is).
But development has been going crazy at the same time, which is absolutely fantastic.
We have been creating a bunch of props in order to replace VALVe models as well as add fresh and exciting new content to the mod.
Below are some of the props that are used for our single game mode, VITAL and the different aspects contained within.
In the game mode, both teams share the same objectives which can be completed at the same times. This in turn causes for frantic and hectic action over various parts of the maps.
Objectives: [in order]:
1. Exit your main base and reach the opposing teams outpost.
2. To gain access to the insides of their outpost, you must first disable and hotwire the keypad which in-turn disables the locking mechanism allowing for entrance.
3. Once inside, hold the 'USE' key to disable the computer which belongs to the opposing team. Doing this will disable the shields around their generator which powers all of their technology allowing you to win the round.
4. Once the computer system is disabled, make your way to the generator (now un-protected by the shield system) and destroy it with firepower.
Other Great Aspects:
There are many other great aspects to this mode, including the ability to get new ammo as well as health from dispensers that are located at your appropriate teams bases and outposts.
Ammo Dispensers:
Ammo dispensers are located at both your teams Main Base as well as your teams outpost. In order to receive ammunition from the outlet, press the 'USE' key to resupply.
Health Dispensers:
Health dispensers are also located at both your teams Main Base as well as your teams Outpost. It is used in the same manner as the Ammo Dispensers.
Respawn Units:
As previously stated, these are located in your main base, and when you die you respawn through these units.

Other great news, we are welcoming some fresh new talen to the team.
First off, Nec who will be helping us with both 3D art as well as 2D Art.
Next up is the talented Vegas who will help us finish our remaining audio files for the first public release. And last, but not not least, CaptainChet who will help us with 3D art and 2D art as well.
And some lovely conceptual designs by BlindShoooter which helped us in the designs and creations of our VITAL-based props:
1. VITAL computer - dropship attachment.
Some of the maps will feature the vital-computer as part of the opposing teams dropship. It's pretty slick, as it is animated and slides out of its compartment.
2.Outpost - interior
A general design for a basic room featured in one of the sections of the Outpost structure.
3. Outpost - exterior.
One of the designs for the exterior appearence of the Outpost structures.
4. Main Base - Hanger.
Some of the main bases are large enoguh to feature a hanger sector which were designed off of this conceptual image.
5. Main Base - Barracks.
A weapons sector / ammuniton room where the ammo dispensers are typically located.
6. VITAL - Props.
Some designs for props that will be featured in the structures.
7. Outpost - dissection.
Another concept used for the creation of the Outposts structures.
8. Vulcan - Altair Dropship.
The design used to create the 'Vulcan', the altair dropship used for troop deployment.
9. Main Base - Communications Tower.
Some of the Main Base structures are also large enough to feature a communications tower which can be used for a good place to snipe in some cases.
