Just a thought, but which ending do you guys think would be the more accurate outcome of an invasion vs. humans, a race that is likely around 20,000 years old, to a super advanced alien race that is probably billions of years old. I've been hearing arguments that the World of the Wars ending is more accurate, meaning that the only chance that humans have at winning would be if it was a miracle, or a fluke with a ratio of something like 1/1 billionth, due to the super sophisticated technology of an alien race that has the capability to travel million of light years.(Imagine how sophisticated and devastating their weapons would be! Almost to the level of omnipotence.)The counter arguments of pro-human science is that their technology is probably based on similar laws of physics. They fail to take in to consideration of how so little we still know. We are still a very young race compared to some civilizations out there. There are probably still thousands of elements and materials that we have yet to discovered, as well as principles, laws, and ideas we don't know exist yet. Needless to say, some skeptics believe that an outcome like Independence Day, or even Half-Life, hardly fits the bill.(Well, there is the Seven-Hour War in Half-Life, that would likely appease them better. Then again, the human scientists in HL mastered local teleportation before even the Combine. Thanks to reverse engineering, might I add. Thanks for that observation Acepilot!) What are some opinions on this argument? I wanna know!
