Info needed on cheats

I have finally had it after several days being killed by the guards in the Entanglement chapter and I want to use a cheat to get past this. I have found sites that instruct on how to open the console and enter the various cheat codes.

My question is , once I have passed this section I would like to return to playing without any cheats. If I quit the game and restart it are the cheats I previously entered still active, and if so, how do I shut them off.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

How to turn off cheats once their on

Thanks for the link. I've looked through it carefully, but neither there or at any sites I've found on the web, does anyone explain how to turn off cheats.

It could be that all cheats are automatically reset to off each time you quit the game and that is why no one addresses this issue.

My problem is that I don't want to enter a cheat code, god mode for example, and then have to play the rest of the game in that mode. I want to be sure I understand how to return to "normal" play so that I do not trap myself in a cheat mode for the rest of my play of this game.

Hope I'm being clear about my issue.

It says 'Toggle' next to some of the cheats. I imagine that means type once to activate & again to de-activate the cheat.
