input signal

hello
I have just installed half life
and I get a message on my lcd screen
which says input signal is out of range
please change signal timer

which is set at h45.khz /v60 hz

can anyone please tell me how to correct this

When you try to play, is that what happens?
Set the resolution for the game to 1024x768 or 1280x1024, which ever your LCD supports.
