Insects Infestation Server 1.0 now available & small update

The insect infestation mod which you may or may not know about, has released their server for windows & linux as well as a small update to correct some scripts. This is only the server, and the client version will be released Friday (tomorrow) for everyone to play. If you're not sure on the II mod, then here's a general idea.

The goal is to kill the enemy queen and any enemy player that would dare to stand in your way. Since the game will be team oriented, you will really have to work together for the greater of your species. Starting at your nest and you will have to build your colonies offensive as well as defensive structures.

This sounds very promising as the server does support 64 player action with the termite and ant sides fighting it out in some of their huge & hectic environments.[br]

Just tried installing it about 5 times now...
God, why couldn't they have just put the game on a single ****ing DVD?
Now I have to go out and buy a new copy, even though I've had this one since release. :|

Played it for a while, it's very well made but there is alot to learn.

The gameplay is slow paced. Still, worth trying. Good working release!

I thought it was fun. Basically I went builder and sent up defensive plants and to get kills. You need to capture points to get resources. After you set up defenses I found it best to go the heavy attack class and take down a few of theirs.

The hitboxes seem big, getting past each other in small tunnel. I got stuck hundreds of times, under bugs, in plants, spawn points. I think walking on the walls and roof is not done very well. In first person view you stay in one orientation and it just doesn't work right.

Something a bit different and I had a bit of fun. a bit more work and I'd probably keep playing it.

No lag with 20 players for me. Seems good.

There is a 80 player server up but the Ping is high because it's a different continent to me.

It's a very nice looking mod, I just found the gameplay a bit too slow. I need to play it in depth a bit more before I can make a proper criticism though.

Fun mod so far, but it has quite a few bugs, no pun. Very different then any other mod out there, great 2d/3d art as well. Is going to need a lot of polish because theres so many features! Hope the devs are up to it.

Disc 4 will always give an error if you don't choose to install CS:Source at the same time.
