Insomnia is ****ing annoying!

I have suffered from this for about three years. It's so goddamn annoying. If I go to bed at say, 12, I will wake up at 3, with no apparent cause whatsoever, and then take 2 hours to get back to sleep. Then I have to get up in like two hours anyway. It just makes me feel so tired the next day.

I don't want to take sleeping pills, but does anyone know if there is any way to help prevent this?
 
Maybe smoke a shitload of pot, should make you tired as shit.
 
Supposedly drinking warm milk or chamomile tea helps you go to sleep. Although I just googled it, and it might not actually do anything. You can try it though.

Lately I've been sleeping enough but dreaming a lot, and then when I wake up I feel really tired, as if I hadn't been asleep at all.
 
I got an awesome memory foam bed. That helped a lot, but still I woke during the night.

Then I got a curtain for my window called 'eclipse' (from wal-mart) which blocks 99.9% of the light and (what seems like) all of the sound from outside my window. My window is near the highway and has direct exposure to the sun. So, that eclipse curtain was the ticket.

Now I sleep great!


You need a cool dark and quiet place to sleep. Have that, and you can most likely fix your insomnia.

You may also have to stop drinking caffeine after mid-day.
