Hello there ,
I just bought Half Life 2 and am facing problems just installing it.
There are 5 CDs in the package.
I insert CD1, Steam gets installed (I install it on my D drive)
Then Half Life 2 starts getting installed. Then it asks for CD2 which i put in.
Then it says Half Life 2 installation complete. (what do i do with the remaining 3 CDs ?? )
Anyways, then i got do the drive where ive installed steam...in the steam folder there is no Half Life 2. There is no Valve and in Steamapps there are only a bunch of GCF files. How do i run Half Life 2??? where is the exe??
I have installed and uninstalled many times, is there something im doing wrong?
I have also created a steam account, after logging in I try to register a new game, enter the serial code, but it says Half Life 2 not installed.
On the other hand when I run autorun.exe in the CD, it gives me the option to simply Modify Half Life 2 or to Play Half Life 2. On clicking Play the Steam application again gets fired and the viscious circle begins again.
Sorry about the really long sob story, but would someone be kind enough to help me out. (Really frustrating
