Installing a dish?

I have a VIP722 DVR through dish network without the dish or any other equipment. I don't really want to sign a contract with dish so I want to buy what I need to hook this receiver and install it myself. Does anyone know what is required to do this? I need to pick up HD and will be using the dual tuner DVR. I will be using just this one receiver for now. I am looking at the following kit, will this work:

According to the description it looks like it picks up HD channels, as well as most local channels. Seems like it will work.

I was previously looking into receivers and dishes because there is a way to get free satellite TV. It looked somewhat complicated though. Plus I am unsure how to install a satellite dish correctly.

I think I need the 1000.2 kit based on another forum I saw. I'll order it and see if it works.
