Installing C&C The First Decade..

I'm under the impression C&C and such will work under XP now. Not sure yet. But is there anything I need to do before getting started? Some special patch that I'm not aware of?

but I think the cut scenes are missing.

No, in my case was everything fine, even the cut scenes in all games.

Just need patch 1.2, get it from Fileplanet or somewhere. Would put it on cncnation but would take me a few years to upload it!

I tried to replay RA from TFD but the unit AI is so awful. Order a bunch of grenadiers to attack something and they suicide bomb. Order a group of tanks to a location and half will turn around and try to arrive there by circumnavigating the globe.

As long as I can rip all the cutscenes off it and watch them then I'm perfectly happy.

Well, I tried playing Generals, but I just couldn't get into it. I didn't find the game that enjoyable, sadly.

Then I tried Red Alert 2: Yuri's Revenge, and couldn't get into it again. I think I got spoiled by Supreme Commander.

I did everything as far as updates and such. I installed XP Service Pack 2. Everything works now. No worries.

Been playing through the NOD campaign, stopped at the mission where you have to steal the nuclear device from the GDI base. (I remember if you still an additional crate in this mission; you get the nuke in the last NOD mission. Still looking into it.)

and I'm at the mission where you need to save the civilian town, after mission 3 on the GDI campaign. It's so hard. You start with a Humm Vee, and 2 APC's several grenaders and riflemen and NOD has like 8 buggies, scores of troops and eveuntally a couple tanks. How do you beat that?

I think that you have to get a certain score/timelimit on the 3 missions where you steal the bomb parts to use the nuke. Unsure.

Did you try reinstalling? The Tiberian Dawn campaigns are bad enough (ie, difficult enough) already without bloody crashes.
