Installing on another drive

How do i install HL2 on another , and not the "local hard" drive?

Download steam from www.steampowered.com , put it on your chosen drive THEN install from cd.

I think that should work, i bought through Steam though.

ok, thanks, but I have a steam installer on the CD. Should i use that 1 or the one which u suggested?

Well i guessed by the fact that you were asking how to put it on another drive that the CD version defaulted to C.
