Installing XP Pro?

Hey i have XP pro now i got it, if i have XP home and the computer i bought came with special reformat cd if i upgrade to XP pro and then want to reformat will it still let me? Also is XP Pro alot better?

I bought from compaq = compcrap. Ya but i but new case and new parts and basically its a custom computer now but i still have Compaq Restore + cd.

768 MB ram XP home 2.0GHz 9600 xt 128 mb 768 MB ram.

Uhm... if it's all new parts, you might not be able to use the compaq restore CD. I've never owned a compaq, but I know from work that Dell's restore CDs won't with with any other vendor/random parts computer. I can only assume "Comcrap" would do the same.
