Please somebody help me.

I keep getting this error message on Disc 4 of the installation.

Error 1334. The file 'hl2.ico1' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'hl24.cab'. This could indicate a networking error, an error reading from the CD_ROM, or a problem with this package.

I wanna play this ******** game and its driving me nuts!! :flame:

Are you just tring to install Half-Life 2? If so, it won't work like that. You need to install both Half-Life 2 and Counter Strike Source.

Well after having tried, installing CS, uninstalling Steam, different Drives, copying files from the dreaded 4th disc...I just about gave up.

The solution was simple. I stripped naked, covered myself in treacle, and howled at the moon whilst sacrificing a goat.....dont know I didnt think of it before.

Ok maybe not. Tbh, I gave up on the CD's and bought the DVD.

Dont waist your time and effort on the CD's, you've more chance of winning the bloody lottery!

Thankfully, all installed without a hitch now and boy does this game rock. Pity they Valve didnt bother to check if the ****** CD's actually work!!
