well, i have an Intel D865GLC mobo and a few weeks ago i updated my BIOS, now, i saw that theres another update for the BIOS, last time i used the Intel Express BIOS Update executable thing, i downloaded the express update again (just like i did the last time) and when i double-clicked the .exe, it said my system is not compatible with the Intel Express BIOS Update, anyone know what he problem is? i did the exact same thing i did last time i updated! cannot see whats wrong here...

I'm not exactly sure but it could be a different revision that it requires.

For example, I know with the nForce2 there was the 1.0 revision, 166(333) FSB) and later they made the 2.0 revision that supported 200(400) FSB.
Up to a certain point bios versions worked with 1.0 but after a certain version it would only work on 2.0 boards. Something to that effect.

wait, you mean it could only work with a newer board? i dont know, cuz in the release notes my board was there...

Is there a reason you wish to update your bios?
If not then I wouldn't worry about it. Usually you only update your bios to fix issues or a setting.
It's become pretty easy to update the bios recently but it isn't like Graphcs drivers were you may want to keep them up-to-date.

oh ok man, i just thought it would give me improvements and such, but if its just to fix problems then i don't need to do it, thx asus!
