there are way more articles, I think all the processor manufacturers are at it...

there just debating marketing strategies on weither they might charge extra for the second core , even though the chip is one whole... I hope they dont charge too much .. depending on how much they are to make. , im not going to doubt they'll probably be extorsionately priced :x

I have an Intel P4 in my system right now. AMD has been making great progress while Intel has been in the background. Its nice to see the competition start heating up. Double the processing power huh? I can only imagine what kind of games will run on those CPUs. :more drooling:

I plan on upgrading my system at the end of the year. One of these would be nice. Although if AMD comes out with something better, then I'd take that. Whatever runs games the best.

Edit again - I don't like how they are considering pricing these things. Being charged twice for a dual core?!? BAH! Nuts to that. Then paying double for the software? :|

FYI Microsoft said it won't charge twice for dual core CPUs.

Dual core Prescotts... Can we say inferno x2? Aslo for performance, Intel's design is to put to cores sharing the same Cache while AMD has to individual cores with their own cache. I think AMD is bring out dual core on servers first and then high-end desktops. Intel is doing desktops but I think they are waiting on the server front.

The funny thing is Servers and Workstations are the ones that could use dual core the most. hehe

Oh and a 2month old Dual Core Overview for AMD/Intel.

yeah, AMD is lying low during all the hype about "Cell" and all the other stuff, so I think they are in the lab conjuring up something very interesting.

Hmm 2x 4 GHz Prescotts... Brimstone and fire from the midst of hell, anyone? Ah yes, as asus put it, inferno x2 :)

"The today’s leader in the dual-core architecture development, just like in many other innovative initiatives, is AMD Company."

I rest my case :)
