Interesting Deal

I was looking around at bestbuy.com and I found that the X700 Pro 256 MB is cheaper than the 9800 Pro 128 MB by $50. I found this interesting because the 9800 Pro has less MB of RAM than the X700. :naughty: :naughty:

Aaaaaaaand it doesnt really matter how much memory the card has, as long as it has 128mb or more they're pretty much the same, its the GPU that counts.

hate to argue, but Doom 3 has an option that requires 512MB of Video RAM. (its there for when them cards come out)

That's only because Doom3 uses massive textures and doesnt like using tileable textures like most games do. I've seen comparison shots of Doom3 running on a 128 meg card and a 512 meg card, and they look identical.
