BumpTop 3D Desktop Prototype looks neat and all, but I don't see any real use for it. I'll keep my 2-D folders and organized look over that any day.

I think most people who have cluttered desktops won't benefit from this if they don't bother to use/learn the already available features. They're messy because they don't bother to or know how to organize them, not because the tools aren't available. I use keyboard shortcuts for most everything, and they're super quick. 'Folding' the document to make it stand out? -meh. This seems like it'd make a fun game interface, but I'd need to see it used in a real-world application to be convinced that it'd keep your files more organized than whatever you have now.
