Interesting Muzak

I'm looking for some new stuff to listen to because most of today's mainstream generally sucks. Does anyone know any interesting hip hop or rock music that isn't all generic? If anyone's ever heard the song "get by" by talib kweli, I'm also looking for more rythmic rap like that.

So far some cool stuff I've come across is handsome boy modeling school and billy talent.

I've been listening to a lot of Blind Melon, Ian Brown, Flogging Molly, and U2. I don't think any of those are normal, even if U2 is mainstream.
