"Internal Error 2902..ixoFileCopy" During regular DVD version installation

When i install Half-Life2 i get "Internal Error 2902..ixoFileCopy" error message during the installation, i press ok and then the installation crashes. What can i do about it?

I'm having the EXACT same problem with the 5 CD retail copy. I got the same error message as soon as I started installing off disc 5.

I called VU, they took me through a LONG ordeal trying everything that I had already tried. They told me I had a bad disc, so I went to EBgames, got a new copy, and now IM GETTING THE ERROR AGAIN!

What are your system specs?

To fix this error, you need to update your Microsoft Windows XP/2000. ixoFileCopy error is related to MSI. Just update your window with the latest SP and it should fix it up.

Try copying all the files to your harddrive

i was getting the same problems, on disk 5 it would give that 2902 error. i copied the install disk 1 to my harddrive, along with the other 4 cab files. ran the setup from the harddrive and it worked...
