The internet itself wont change...the ways to connect to it will though. We will see more and more things with the ability to self network. Cars will soon come standard with internet based security devices which would i assume take weather forecasts and warn the driver or what not. We will see an abundance of things like that start to appear

I think that's Moore's law or something, but it has to do with processing power.

LOL @ monkey. internet for dummies: if it comes from the internet to your pc, you're downloading it. saving it as a file on your pc or not does not change that fact.

besides, by the time connection speed is improved, so will the quality and file size of the movies, thus it will still take a while to get the file.
