On one comp the internet won't work at all. It doesn't matter what wire is plugged in, it doesn't work. The other comps work fine. Is it possible that this comp is having driver problems as there was a new mobo installed and the old drivers weren't uninstalled before removing. If so, how do you fix this?

more info wud be gud? System info, how u trying to connect it to the net?

It could be that the NIC card is old and it needs to be replaced or new drivers for the card have recently become availible and you need to update, with the info that you gave

He is using the port on the back of his mobo which is an MSI neo2 platinum.

hmmm.. i would try to get new drivers and see if that works

Did he ever install the chipset drivers for his motherboard?

It is my connection he is talking about, for some reason it just decided to work. I changed nothing, I just unplugged it and plugged it back in and it worked. After 6 hours of working on this, it just decided to work.
