Internet Problems

Our school library computer is using Windows Vista, and the internet works just fine when you log in in administrator mode, but when you log in as another user account, the internet doesn't work.

So, um. Any help would be very much appreciated.

U wanna login as Admin and change the User settings to allow TCP/IP access for Users... how you do this I dunno

It should work right out of the box. Does your internet require any special software to operate? Under the admin account can you go to your command prompt and type ipconfig /all then do the same for the limited user account and paste the results here?

Are you absolutely sure the administrators of your network don't require some kind of authentication to connect to the internet? This could be running on the computer in the background without you knowing it. Your computer is getting all the information from the DHCP server correctly so this this is an issue that you would have to address with your network administrators.

Well, I'm the one that takes care of the computers, so yeah, almost sure. I'll have to ask though. Thx.
