Hi there. Im not sure if I should post this here but I suppose its worth a try.
First off, let me tell you what I'm trying to do.
I want to set up a small, 2-3 person server to mess around with a few select friends in Garrysmod or JBmod. Maybe even in HL2DM. However, when I make the server(Which would be non-dedicated) my server never appears on the server select list and my friends cant join through my IP. They just get stuck at "retried 4 times, unable to connect".
2nd, my specs for my internet would be DSL connection, Linksys wireless G router, no personal firewall set up.
The problem I think is in my router, I've tried to open the ports, that didint work, tried turning on DMZ in my router, that created even more problems such as certan programs unable to connect to the net.
Very weird stuff.
Any help would be appreciated
