Invalid Steam UserID ticket

Whenever I try to join a server on any game on steam, it says it could not connect, reason: Invalid Steam UserID ticket.

I was just playing yesterday, what gives?

Just did a little search, I'm gonna try logging out and then back in.

Yea, to fix that you just have to log-out and log back in.

Also got that problem

I have this problem now. I have createt a server on a stand alone PC, with new steam account. it's running fine for all the others out there, but I can't login to it. i got Reason: Invalid Steam userID Ticket. But i don't get that when i try to connect to other servers out there.. just my own.

I had this problem on my server, I had to connect to it from the Lan Games screen instead of a normal direct connect, or from the server list.

Other people could still join fine.

lol, this is a really old issue. I'm supprised anyone is still having problems with it.
