In my school we have gone from AutoCAD 2005 to Inventor, a new program from Discreet. This program is just awesome...its much better then AutoCAD because in autocad you make the 2D drawings which can take a pretty long time...and the program itself is kinda messy, but with INVENTOR...its like the opposite. You kinda make the model first...and it generates the 2D (top, front, side) in 1 second...And its a much easyer tool to modifie and measure and..GOD...its just wonderfull! It also has full support for Auxilary (sp?) views that you can do with a few mouse clicks in 5 seconds! In autoCad i spent like 20 minutes on just that part! Alot of new stuff to make Engineer Modeling much easier...(also ofcorse, you can import the models into 3Dmax and make it into a model used in Games )
Im downloading this program at home right now (no..i will not tell you where i got it) and i hope to get good at it!
Has anyone ells taken a look at this program? What do you think?
