Anyone seeing this / heard about it?

Only saw the ads on the tube this week for the first time. Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela and Matt Damon as Francois Pienaar.

Looks really interesting. About Mandela after coming to power trying to restore some unity after apartheid from what I've read. Pienaar is the captain of the springboks who are pushing to win the rugby world cup. Directed by Clint Eastwood. Think I might go see it.

Doesn't look spectacular, tbh. Typical Hollywood simplification of history by the looks of it. And Freeman doesn't seem to handle the accent very well either.

I saw this, was a solid, entertaining bio-picture/sports movie, but it glossed over a fair few facts and made Mandela into an infallible figure. Still, great performances by everyone involved. If you're just up for some entertainment then I can think of worse ways to spend it.

And they omitted the fact that the All Blacks were suffering from food poisoning and were vomiting on the sidelines when they were playing the Springboks in the Rugby world cup final.
