So, I finally bought the Orange Box and I tried loading up Portal. After a while of frustrated waiting I realized my menu is invisible. I can click around where it should be, and I can hear the menu sounds, but there's no display. I also found out that every Source game I have (HL2, HL2 Ep1/2, Portal, etc) has an invisible menu.
I have the latest video drivers, I've tried windowed mode, other versions of DirectX, even the "-soft" option (didn't seem to have an effect). I'm out of ideas, can anyone help me? I have a feeling this has something to do with DirectX overlays and the "GameOverlayUI.exe" program.
