Go ahead, make fun of me. iPhone is gay, I get it. But it's a phone supplied to me by my job, so I figured I might as well look into some games while I'm bored. Any recommendations out there? I don't really have a preference as to what genre, but I can only play Angry Birds so much.:stare:

The iPhone 4 may be gay or whatever, but it's ****ing nice. I own one willingly! The thought!

There's tons of good games, Game Informer just did an article on 'em. The Doom game is cool http://www.idsoftware.com/iphone-games/doom-resurrection/index.html

I'm not really the person to ask about smart phone games, though. I know there's a few actual lengthy / in depth RPGs and strategy/adventure games out there. The app store has a huge library of awesome games I just usually ask friends for recommendations.

The pop-cap games are all for iPhone Plants vs. Zombies, Bejeweled, etc - those are great fun.

iphone: not even once. Actually I tried it once, overpriced. But that's my opinion on all smartphones (mostly because of the monthly costs, **** that shit).

I have an iPad, tons of good games for it. I like Android more, but if some one starts comparing games in Android and iOS, just laugh. Android is so bad in the game department and it's getting even better since most of the games now require Tegra hardware (or root and modified drivers), like there was no fragmentation already. Good example is Carcassonne. On iOS it's one of the best digital versions of a board game I've ever seen, on Android it looks like a bunch of cheap Indian dudes put it together during a day and used a frog to draw the graphics.

I tried some games on that overpriced little thing, but nothing to be remembered. Not a valid gaming platform to me.

it's okay, lots of us have iPhones, we can share the shame together.

I don't really game very much on my phone, just the occasional bit here and there... but here's what I have:

- Words with Friends
- Plants vs Zombies
- Peggle
- Bejeweled (yeaaaa popcap rules)
- Flight control (airplane landing)
- Fruit ninja
- Bookworm
- Angry birds
- Solipskier

some other random little puzzle games I don't remember. TBH any game on the iPhone has a much better and free Flash equivalent, so mostly I just play games on my iphone when I'm on campus trying to burn time before next class or whatever.

Games I wind up playing regularly:

AC-130
Lucky Coins
Baseball '11
Speedball2
iFighter
Textropolis
JellyCar 1-3
iAssociate 2
Duke 3D
Truckers Delight
iBomber 1 & 2

Angry Birds is horrible. I just can't make myself like it. Finnish, maybe, but bad.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is a great one. You probably know it, originally for the DS. I was surprised how well most of the gameplay works though there is boring scene investigation that feels like a chore. It's a nice port for the iOS.

Where's My Water? is the new Angry Birds and believe me, it's very enjoyable. Childish and made by Disney but the gameplay is incredibly fun.

Groove Coaster is the best game for iPhone. Read an IGN review (9.5/10) and bought it, no regret. It's a music game that actually works and it super fun to play! Just make sure that you play it with headphones. Oh I could praise it all day long.

If you watch a lot of movies, get IMDb Trivia. It's free and has a massive amount of questions once you get to the second and third question packs.

Get Scribblenauts for it. You'll thank me later.

Sorry guys, I got here as soon as I could.

iPhone is gay.

I love my iPhone, seriously an Apple fag now after being introduced to their magic ways.
