There are millions of Iranians that are tired of the Mullahs and their oh so stale, secret police, religous police, bans on free speech, brutality agaisnt their people etc........ we need to help them facilitate their dream of a free Iran, freedom of religion and persecution.
kirovman said:In that case we should take North Korea first, their people are in a far worse situation.
One thing I heard recently, that initially sounded funny but is actually just another example of oppression, is the Men must cut their hair below a certain length. And anyone they catch not abiding by this rule will have their address published on national television.
North Korea is like another world though... so crazy...the official president is the current leader's father...who has been dead several years.
If we want to facilitate a free people I suggest starting with the bottom of the barrel, North Korea.

Scoobnfl said:NK is their own worst enemy. Isolation is IMHO probably the best way to handle them. We (the rest of the world) should demand that China take a more direct role in reigning in NK. China wants to be a big player on the world scene and they can't even take care of sheeit in their own backyard.
I can't help but be mad at Clinton and Carter for their ineptness at handling NK. Why in the hell we let Carter do anyhting in the name of our country is beyond me. The only thing worth remembering him for on a global scale is the peace treaty signed between Israel and Egypt. Other than that he allowed our embassy to be sacke and its occupants to be held hostage and tortured for more than a year. He gave the Panama canal away. And lastly in a great move for free people everyhwere, he ended the mutual defense pact we had with Taiwan, putting millions in fear of invasion by China.
So why again did we allow this incompetent buffoon negotiate a meaningless, unenforceable treaty designed to keep a terrorist nation from acquiring nukes?
CptStern said:meh maybe the US should do secret covert spying on Cheney; find out why under his direction Haliburton did business with Iran ...methinks they should look into trying him under the Trading with the Enemy Act
it doesnt really matter what they have ...sooner or later the propaganda war machine will talk about, WMD, human-rights, terrorism, axis of evil and before you know it more boys and girls from america will die for the profit of another
There's optimism and then there's naivete. We're the US. We don't do "diplomacy" or whatever you call it.Bodacious said:

I like it, now if only they wait a year or two so I can join the fray, hmmm.. maybe I'll do a double tour of duty, back-to-back, just rack op the kills, maybe i can even get the ut2k4 announcer to say "Holy Shit" when I kill like 20 at the same time, betcha I get "God-like"Tr0n said:I say we go after NK first and then iran.

Scoobnfl said:NK knows that they would be annihilated if they got into a conventional war with the USA, that is why they sought nukes, to act as a deterrent towards us. Their airforce and naval forces would be decimated, and as has been evidenced in Iraq and AG, if you do not have air superiority and you are fighting the USA you will be annihilated. Your tanks will be destroyed at will, troop concentrations will be destroyed at will, resupply will not be possible, etc........ It would be a difficult fight and we would suffer some staggering losses initially, but after their air force and resupply depots were destroyed, NK would be crushed.
KoreBolteR said:then the mushroom clouds start coming :|
KoreBolteR said:but i doubt cheney is going to set off a nuke and devastate a human race, nor kill his own people, torture own people. Unless you think the USA are more dangerous than NK?
try living there, ive heard plenty of stories , that make me believe that US needs to put spies/secret operations there.
KoreBolteR said:Iran and NK clearly needs to stop with this nuclear bollux.

I'm not the one you should be asking that question to.Here ask the president..CptStern said:you willing to take steps that insure that thousands of americans die in the future?
