kinda curious if you guys think it would be wirth the purchase or...any recomendation on ATI cards are welcome too.

nah dude you have the same question it's all good bro.

I have a BFG 8800GT OC2 and as you know, it runs COD5, L4D, TF2, Bioshock and Far cry 2 on top settings. So does the 260 obviously, so is there any point yet?

I was thinking about the change but there is no point until our cards start only keeping up with games to medium settings I reckon. Then it's time to move on...

About the same, maybe a little better. Probably in between a 260 and highend 280/

Oh my yes.

Not worth the investment. If you're already on an 8800+ series card from nvidia, there's not a single card worth upgrading to yet. Yeah it's disappointing, but true. Unless you really want a specific game to run on max settings, upgrading now is a bad idea. Unless you have money to waste.

This and what I said before. I don't think we could be more clear! With a 8800GT currently upgrading now would be a poor decision. Please don't post "What about a 280?" :(

From what i have heard so far,the Core 216 GTX 260 can be oc'ed to the specs of a GTX 280. I don't know about you but with that price tag,i'd say it's worth it.

well I'm geting either the 260 or 4750 for xmas.

the 260 looks a lil better right now though.

edit: dunno glenn I guess I,ll think about it some more.
